The global aging population is experiencing a decline in physical activity, leading to sarcopenia and reduced mobility, which negatively impacts independence and quality of life. Addressing these mobility challenges is crucial for future societies. This product invention focuses on assistive exoskeleton technologies developed by EXOPRO USTP, a research team from the University System of Taipei, dedicated to improving the lives of older adults and individuals with mobility impairments. With the guiding philosophy of “Technology for Assistance, Enhancing Lives,” the team integrates intelligent robotics and advanced sensing technologies to create adaptive, user-centered devices that address the functional decline associated with aging and contribute to building an age-friendly society. The primary objective of this product design is to develop an AI-integrated wearable exoskeleton robot that effectively supports lower-limb mobility for older adults and individuals with movement impairments. This system aims to combine advanced artificial intelligence algorithms with ergonomic mechanical design to provide real-time analysis of gait patterns and deliver adaptive power assistance tailored to individual user needs.
